Known Issues
Behavior Changes and Upgrade Notes
The NI-RFSG Soft Front Panel (SFP) replaces the MAX test panel functionality for your device. In NI-RFSG 1.8.5 and earlier, you could use the MAX test panel with LabVIEW Real-Time targets. NI-RFSG SFP 1.9.5 does not support Real-Time applications.
The NI-RFSG SFP 1.9.5 does not support the NI PXI-5610 with an external arbitrary waveform generator (AWG) module. In NI-RFSG 1.8.5 and earlier, the MAX test panel supported the NI PXI-5610 with an external AWG module.
The rfsg_Complex Multitone II example generates correct power levels when using mirror-image.
When RF list mode was introduced in NI-RFSG 1.6, if the device was committed, setting the Output Enabled property or NIRFSG_ATTR_OUTPUT_ENABLE attribute to FALSE immediately affected the output. In RFSG 1.7 and later, you must call the niRFSG Commit VI or niRFSG_Commit function to apply property or attribute changes while list mode is active.
The awgModel driver setup string keyword is deprecated and is now an alias for the keyword awg. In NI-RFSG 1.6.1 and earlier, you could specify which type of arbitrary waveform generator (AWG) to use in a simulated composite device session using the awgModel keyword. The keyword awg now suffices for both real and simulated sessions. Programs that use the deprecated awgModel continue to work, but if you specify both awg and awgModel, the following error message is returned:
-1074117644: The 'DriverSetup' entry in the Option String is invalid.
The NI PXIe-5673/5673E automatically enables the Compensate for Filter Group Delay property or NIFGEN_ATTR_OSP_COMPENSATE_FOR_FILTER_GROUP_DELAY attribute, and the timing between events and analog output changes. This behavior causes any prior customization of a filter group delay to be invalid. To revert to the original behavior, disable the property in the NI-FGEN property node or attribute with an NI-FGEN Set function during your NI-FGEN session. If an NI PXIe-5450 with module revisions A or B is used as part of your NI PXIe-5673/5673E, the NI-FGEN Compensate for Filter Group Delay property is disabled if the requested I/Q rate is less than 1.5 MS/s.
